Bus Tour to Cokato

Visit to the oldest, continuous Finnish community in North America.
All-day event including lunch while at Temperance Corners open air museum.
This all-day bus tour leaves the Hilton Hotel downtown at 8.15 and can pick up additional passengers at the Sears parking lot at Ridgedale at about 8.30.
Harvey Barberg, a descendant of the original settlers, will be your tour guide, introducing you to the community as the bus travels 50 miles west of Minneapolis. Once in Cokato, Harvey will continue to provide interpretation as the tour stops at TyloHylo’s sauna construction plant, the Cokato City Museum, the Temperance Corners open air museum, the Apostolic church with its early cemetery, and the old tin church at Pioneer Park in Annandale. Finnish style pasties’ picnic lunch will be provided. Back in Minneapolis around 4 PM. Reservation requested. Price is $30 paid online at the FinnFest USA website, mailed to the postal address or paid when boarding the bus.
