Finnish American Chamber of Commerce (FACC-MN)

The Finnish American Chamber of Commerce Minnesota was founded in 2010 to promote business, financial, professional and trade relations between Finland and Minnesota. FACC-MN is a group of Finnish, American or Finnish-American business people committed to enhancing business relationships between Finland and Minnesota.

Finnish American Cultural Activities (FACA)

FACA is a non-profit educational organization that offers programs with a rich ethnic flavor: literature, music, travel, food, the immigrant culture, contemporary Finland, and other topics. It is dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Americans of Finnish ancestry.

Kaleva Hall – Virginia MN

We are the Virginia, Minnesota chapter of the Knights of Kaleva, a Finnish-American fraternal society. We work to promote and preserve our Finnish heritage.

Northland Chapter of Finlandia Foundation

The Northland Chapter of Finlandia Foundation National (FFN) shares the spirit of Finland past, present, and future across the Northland. The mission of FFN is to sustain both Finnish-American culture in the United States and the ancestral tie with Finland by raising funds for grants and scholarships, initiating innovative national programs and networking with local chapters.

Sister Cities: Saint Anthony, MN – Salo, Finland

Since 1985 the City of St. Anthony has enjoyed a Sister City relationship and cross-cultural activities with the City of Salo, Finland, located on the south-western tip of Finland.

Sister Cities: Minneapolis, MN – Kuopio, Finland

Minneapolis and Kuopio, Finland, have been Sister Cities since 1972. Focusing in the areas of education, business, arts and culture, and the environment, the Minneapolis-Kuopio Partnership promotes exchange of people and ideas, collaboration in ongoing and potential research projects, and sharing of best practices between the two city governments.

Sisu Heritage, Inc., Embarrass, MN

The mission of Sisu Heritage, Inc. is to enhance the Embarrass region by preserving and sharing its unique culture, climate and history. Sisu Heritage, Inc. is a non-profit organization, incorporated in 1987 and a funded affiliate of the St. Louis County Historical Society.

Sisu Environmental School

Sisu Environmental School is a tuition-free public K-5 Charter School that will open Fall 2022. We take our inspiration from the highly successful Finnish education system that encourages independence, creativity, and a love of learning! We are beyond excited to announce that we are officially partnering with New Nordic School based in Finland.

The Finnish American Reporter has no political or denominational affiliation and welcomes well-written articles representing any aspect of Finnish culture, politics and religion. The Finnish-American Reporter provides a national network for announcements of Finnish events in the United States and Canada.

FinnFest USA

For over 36 years, FinnFest USA has brought annual week-long festivals with lectures, tours, markets and concerts in cities across the USA open to all. In 2020, Finnfest will be held August 17-21 in Joensuu, Finland. It will create an American conversation with the Northern Karelian past, present, and future. Welcome! Tervetuloa!

Suomi Seura – Finnish Society

The Finland Society’s mission is to serve as a unique expertise and service center for expatriate Finns, promoting issues of Finns living overseas. We strengthen the ties to Finland of 1.6 million Finnish expatriates and bring expatriatism up in public debate and decision-making. We also provide up-to-date information about Finland overseas. The Finland Society promotes interaction between expatriate Finns and Finland, nurtures cultural contacts and strengthens Finland’s image.
